Objectives
What Sheida Moradi Architects needed from this website redesign project, and what we built for it.
The goal
Show the services, not just the portfolio
What we built
A Services page with six clear sections, from restaurant and café design and change of use to custom homes, ADUs and interiors, each with what is included and the related projects.
The goal
Turn visits into consultation requests
What we built
A Schedule a Consultation button on every page, and a form that asks for the project type, city and timeline and accepts plans and photos, with a reply promised within one business day.
The goal
Let the work speak
What we built
A portfolio of 33 projects with one clean address each, filters for commercial, residential and interior work, and a page per project with its specs and gallery.
The goal
Show up for local searches
What we built
Area pages for Calabasas, Woodland Hills, Los Angeles and the West San Fernando Valley, plus a journal of permit guides written for owners.
The goal
Keep the credentials in plain view
What we built
Her PhD from the University of Tokyo, NCARB certification, California licence, seat on the Calabasas Architectural Review Panel and her Alfred Coffee work, each said once and said clearly.
Prototyping
Sheida Moradi Architects, page by page, before colour and photos.
The home page and the main inner pages as greyscale wireframes, for desktop and for phones. With colour and photography taken out, what is left is the structure: where the navigation, headings, images and calls to action sit on each page.

Colour and style
The look of Sheida Moradi Architects.
Charcoal and terracotta on warm paper tones, with light Fraunces headings and full-width photography of the finished spaces. The look is calm and editorial, the way a design-led practice presents its work, with the photos doing most of the talking.

Content
What the site says, and where.
The old site had no service pages, so every search for a café architect or a change of use permit had to land on the home page. Several projects had two or three addresses, and the same claims were repeated across the home page. The new site is organized around what a visitor needs to decide: what she does, the work itself, how a project runs from first meeting to permit, and how to start.

The build
How the Sheida Moradi Architects website was built.
We rebuilt the site on a custom WordPress child theme with its own Elementor widgets, so Sheida's team can keep editing every page in Elementor while the design, speed and structure stay consistent. Everything custom lives in the theme, with no page builder add-ons.
Custom theme and Elementor widgets
A child theme of Hello Elementor with ten purpose-built widgets, including the media hero, project grid, service list and journey timeline, so pages stay editable in free Elementor without Elementor Pro or add-ons.
Project portfolio with filters
Thirty-three projects, each on one clean address, with commercial, residential and interior filters, spec fields for location, size, year and role, and a gallery on every project page.
Projects panel for the client
A separate, password-protected panel where the team edits project text and photos, with a change log of every edit. Changes are exported as a package and reviewed before they are imported on the website.
Consultation request with uploads
A Gravity Forms request that asks for project type, city and timeline and accepts up to five plans or photos, with a reply promised within one business day.
Local SEO and schema
Area pages for four service areas, a permit journal, one clear heading per page, redirects from the old project addresses, and Architect and LocalBusiness schema alongside Yoast SEO.
Speed and maps
Self-hosted Fraunces and DM Sans fonts, deferred scripts and trimmed assets, Google reviews loaded only when needed, and an OpenStreetMap office map in place of a Google Maps embed on every page.
Hosted on WebCrafters Cloud
North American hosting on Nginx and PHP-FPM with Redis caching, an edge CDN, WAF and DDoS protection, daily off-site backups and uptime monitoring.
