What you get
Everything included in a WebCrafters website design.
No add-ons hidden in the fine print. This list is what your quote covers, and it is the list you should compare other quotes against.
Custom design, not a template
Every page is designed around your customers and your brand, then reviewed with you before we build.
WordPress you can edit yourself
Built on WordPress, so your team can change text, images and pages without calling a developer.
Fast on every device
Built to pass Google Core Web Vitals on launch day and tested on real phones.
Search-ready structure
Page titles, headings, schema and internal links set up so Google can read the site properly from the start.
Content set up for you
We place your text and photos, set up the images to load fast, and, if you choose, fill any gaps with sample content based on your business until yours is ready.
Forms that reach you
Quote and contact forms with spam protection, delivered to your inbox and stored in the site.
Analytics and tracking
Google Analytics and Search Console connected so you can see what the site does for you.
Training and support after launch
A walkthrough at launch and 14 days of post-launch support. After that, open a ticket any time; changes are covered by a care plan or our hourly rate.
Ongoing costs known in advance
Design and development is a one-time cost. Hosting on WebCrafters Cloud is a separate ongoing cost, paid monthly or yearly, and your quote also lists plugin licences and the domain, so you know every ongoing cost before the project starts. The domain is registered in your name and the design files are yours to keep.
Built to measurable standards
Speed is not a feeling. We measure it on every build.
Every WebCrafters site is tested against Google’s Core Web Vitals before launch, on a throttled phone connection, the way Google measures it. These are the numbers from this page.
Core Web Vitals, this page
Largest Contentful Paint
Google wants under 2.5 s
Cumulative Layout Shift
Google wants under 0.1
Page weight
42 requests, fonts and images included
Lab test on this page, run on a phone viewport over slow 4G with a 4x CPU slowdown. Live scores vary with the visitor’s device and network.
Where the bytes go
Images are sized to the slot they fill, styles are split so only the first screen blocks rendering, and scripts load after the page is usable.
Why it matters. Slower pages lose visitors
Probability of a visitor leaving before the page finishes loading, compared with a one-second load. Source is Google and SOASTA research, 2017.
Not sure where to start?
Tell Ella about your business. Ella will tell you what your website needs.
Seven quick questions, all multiple choice. You get a plain-words plan with the pages and features that fit your business, and a project lead can turn it into a written quote. Two minutes, no jargon, no obligation.
Ella is automated and can make mistakes. Your written quote from a project lead is the final word.
How it works
From your request to launch in four steps.
A typical business website takes two to four weeks from the approved quote. Larger sites and online stores take longer, and your quote shows the real dates.
01
Your request, a written quote and a mockup
You send us the details about your business, your customers and what the site has to do. Within one business day you get a proposal with a fixed price and a start date, plus a mockup of your home page so you can see the direction before you decide.
Day 1 to 2
02
Sitemap and design
We map the pages, plan the key messages with you and design the home page first. You approve every screen before any code is written.
Week 1 to 2
03
Build and review on a private link
The site is built on a staging address only you can see. You review each milestone on your own phone and laptop, and we test speed and accessibility as we go.
Week 2 to 4
04
Launch, training and support
We put the site live on your domain, connect Google Business Profile, Analytics and Search Console, train your team, and stay on with post-launch support included.
Launch week and after
What it costs
A fixed price, before any work starts.
We do not publish a single price because a five-page site for a trades business and a forty-page site with a booking system are different jobs. What we do promise is a written quote and a home-page mockup within one business day, and the number does not change unless you change the scope.
What moves the price
Number of page designs, whether you need copywriting and photography, online payments or bookings, and any systems the site has to connect to.
Payment plans up to 24 months
Pay by milestone, or spread the cost over up to 24 months. Credit and debit cards and bank transfer are both fine.
Hosting priced separately
The website is a one-time price. Hosting on WebCrafters Cloud is a separate ongoing cost, paid monthly or yearly. Your quote also lists every plugin licence the site needs, so there are no surprise renewals. Ongoing care plans are optional, with fixed monthly prices.
Questions
What owners ask before they start.
If yours is not here, the full list is one click away, or just pick up the phone.
Still have a question?
Call us on a weekday, or send a note and we will get back to you within one business day.
How long does a new website take to design and build?
A business website usually takes two to four weeks, and larger sites, online stores and custom features take longer. Your written quote shows the real dates. Your text and photos are due in the first week, and if they arrive later, the launch moves by the same amount.
Do I need to write the content for my website myself?
You provide the text, photos and logo for your site. If some of it is not ready, you can choose to launch on time with sample content written around your business and stock images. We put in any of your own content you send during the 14 days of post-launch support, and after that you can add it yourself, or a care plan or our hourly rate covers it.
Can I edit my WordPress website after launch without a developer?
Yes, you can edit your website yourself after launch. Every page is built in WordPress with editable blocks, and we walk your team through it at handover. After that, you can still open a ticket while you have hosting or another service with us. Changes to the site are covered by a care plan or billed at our hourly rate.
Do I need a domain, hosting or email before a website project starts?
You need a domain, and we can register one in your name or connect one you already own. Hosting on WebCrafters Cloud is priced separately, paid monthly or yearly, and your quote lists the plugins and licences the site needs. We do not provide business email, but we will introduce you to a provider we trust and help you connect it.
What post-launch support is included with a new website?
Every website we build includes 14 days of post-launch support at no extra cost. During those two weeks we fix anything that is not working as specified, correct small layout or content issues you spot, answer questions about editing the site, and watch forms, analytics and uptime to make sure everything is running as it should. New features or pages beyond the agreed scope are quoted separately.
What happens after the 14 days of post-launch support?
Nothing happens automatically after the 14 days. The site is yours, and you are free to look after it yourself or with anyone you choose. If you would like us to stay involved, there are two optional ways to do that. A website maintenance plan covers updates, backups, security monitoring and a monthly allowance of support time for a set fee. Or, with no plan at all, you can simply contact us whenever something comes up and we quote the work at our hourly rate. There is no obligation either way, and you can start, stop or switch at any time.
